Booking Salmon & Halibut Fishing Charters to Vancouver Island's Wild
West Coast

To book a charter, please contact us either via e-mail (pat.ahern@shaw.ca)  
or phone with your preferred dates and accommodation/travel
requirements.  We require a $300 CDN deposit via cheque or
Visa/Mastercard to secure your charter dates to reserve the boat.  Your
date will not be confirmed until we are in receipt of the deposit.  We require
50% deposit for charter and accommodation packages.  We will assist you
with arranging accommodations should you require them separately from a

Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes things happen which make missing your trip
unavoidable.  Our policy is that you will receive a full refund on charter
booking deposits if the trip is cancelled providing us with at least 30 days
notice.  Without 30 day notice, your booking deposit will retained unless we
are able to successfully re-book another customer into your booking dates.  
If you plan to return the following year, your deposit will be held on account
for the following season, thus you will not lose a deposit if you re-book for
the following season.    

We accept cash, personal cheques, Visa and Master Card.  


Charter Rates for Port Alberni/Bamfield/Barkley Sound, Vancouver
Island, B.C.  (please note that pricing may change as the cost of fuel
may change in-season rates quoted here on the website)

Our Salmon Charter rates are based on either ½ day (4 or 6 hours) or full
day (8 hours) trips.  For fishing trips to the Bamfield, Barkley Sound and
Ucluelet areas of Vancouver Island, B.C., we will charge the full day rate.  All
rates are subject to 5% GST tax.  All charters include bait, tackle, fuel.  We
also provide Mustang flotation gear for your comfort and safety.  Our guides
will clean your catch, and package it in plastic bags for transport.  We also
partner with St. Jeans Cannery who can process, smoke and vacuum pack
your fish from their operation in Port Alberni.

  • 1/2  Day Charter (5 hours)   Alberni Canal Sockeye Salmon $400
    ($135 per person based on 3 anglers or $200 for 2 persons)

  • 1/2 Day Charter (6 hours)  Alberni Canal - Chinook Salmon $450
    ($150 per person based on 3 anglers or $225 for 2 persons)

  • Full Day Charter (8 hours)  Barkley Sound & Bamfield
    May - July $750                                      August - September  $800
    ($250 for 3 persons)                              ($270 for 3 persons)  
  • Full Day Off-Shore Bamfield or Ucluelet (8 hours)                $900
    ($300 per person based on 3 anglers or 450 for 2 persons)



For your comfort and safety, we supply survival suits and floater
coats for our guests.  We do not provide a lunch unless specified in
a charter package, so please pack your own lunch and fishing
licenses.
